This simple chocolate cake is perfect for those who want a quick and easy dessert. It uses only two ingredients and requires no baking.

  • 1 pound chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in a heatproof bowl.
  2. Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
  3. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 5 minutes to melt the chocolate.
  4. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well combined.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture into a greased and parchment-lined 8-inch round cake pan.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once firm, invert the cake onto a serving plate. Remove the parchment paper.
  8. Slice and serve cold.
