- 1 pound chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- Chop the chocolate into small pieces. Place it in a heatproof bowl.
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for 5 minutes to melt the chocolate.
