A simple and delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookie recipe. These cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (120g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (170g) chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients.
  6. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature butter for even mixing.
  • For a crispier texture, bake for an extra 2 minutes.
  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
