Quick and easy single-serving chocolate cake cooked in a mug.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined and no dry spots remain.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips, if using.
  4. Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds, or until the cake is set and cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on your microwave.
  5. Let cool for a minute or two before enjoying.
