Ingredients
Scale
12 ounces melting chocolate (milk, dark, or white)
1 bag (about 10–12 ounces) pretzel rods or twists
Optional: Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or other toppings
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
Dip each pretzel rod or twist into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the pretzel.
Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
Place the chocolate-covered pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
If using toppings, sprinkle them over the chocolate before it sets.
Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
Notes
For best results, use good quality melting chocolate or chocolate chips.
Ensure the chocolate is not too hot when dipping, as it can cause the pretzels to soften.
You can re-melt the chocolate if it starts to thicken during the dipping process.
Get creative with toppings like crushed candy canes, toffee bits, or sea salt.
