Chocolate-covered pretzels are a delightful and easy-to-make treat. They offer a perfect balance of salty and sweet, with the crunch of pretzels complementing the smooth chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces melting chocolate (milk, dark, or white)
  • 1 bag (about 1012 ounces) pretzel rods or twists
  • Optional: Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or other toppings

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
  3. Dip each pretzel rod or twist into the melted chocolate, covering about two-thirds of the pretzel.
  4. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  5. Place the chocolate-covered pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. If using toppings, sprinkle them over the chocolate before it sets.
  7. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.

Notes

  • For best results, use good quality melting chocolate or chocolate chips.
  • Ensure the chocolate is not too hot when dipping, as it can cause the pretzels to soften.
  • You can re-melt the chocolate if it starts to thicken during the dipping process.
  • Get creative with toppings like crushed candy canes, toffee bits, or sea salt.
