  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix pumpkin, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt.
  3. Beat in eggs and evaporated milk until smooth.
  4. Pour filling into the unbaked pie crust.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 40-50 minutes until set.
  6. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh pumpkin puree for best flavor.
  • Check doneness with a knife—it should come out clean.
