A simple and delicious homemade cranberry sauce recipe perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp orange zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and remove any stems.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add cranberries and reduce heat to simmer. Stir occasionally.
  4. Cook for 10-15 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in orange zest if desired.
  6. Let cool before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
  • Adjust sugar to taste if cranberries are too tart.
