- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Mix 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in milk until dough forms.
- Roll dough and cut into biscuits.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned.
- Add butter and flour, stir for 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk until thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve gravy over warm biscuits.
Notes
- Use cold butter for flakier biscuits.
- Adjust gravy thickness with more or less milk.
